Smok Tanks FAQs

What is the best Smok tank?

What’s considered the best Smok tank depends on your personal preference and level of expertise. Our most popular tanks include the Smok TFV9 and TFV16 Lite, both of which have discrete and sleek designs and are perfect for direct-to-lung vaping. Plus, they’re customisable with a range of colours and are compatible with most vape mods.

How long do Smok coils last?

Your coil may last between 3 days and 2 weeks, depending on how often you vape and at what wattage. Higher wattages can damage the coil and lead to an undesirable burnt taste

How do you fix a burnt Smok Vape coil?

You can attempt to clean the coil by removing it and soaking it in warm water to remove excess juice. If you continue to get a burnt taste, you may want to consider replacing the coil completely, as it’s most probably at the end of its life.

How do you prime your Smok atomiser?

1. Attach the atomiser coil.

2. Saturate the wicking material with your liquid.

3. Leave your coil to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Take four to five dry hits without firing your battery. Be careful not to take too deep a hit, as this could flood the coil.

5. Try to take your first ten hits on a lower wattage to break in your coil.

Does airflow affect coil lifespan?

Long story short, no. Airflow is crucial for personalising your vape experience and maximising the flavour output of your vape kit or juice. Airflow shouldn’t affect the lifespan of your coil to any detectable level. That being said, restricting the airflow at high wattages can burn the coil, leading to a burnt taste.

How do I get the best flavour out of my Smok tank?

What is regarded as the “best flavour” varies from person to person. Try experimenting with the following aspects of your vape to find the perfect flavour output for you:

1. VG/PG ratio of e-liquids

Higher VG e-liquids normally result in more flavour, whereas higher PG provides a stronger throat hit sensation. Read more about the difference between VG and PG in vape juice in our blog.

2. Airflow

Restricting the airflow can produce a stronger flavour, whereas a high airflow may reduce flavour.

3. Temperature

Higher temperatures can produce a stronger flavour, whereas lower temperatures have a smoother and less prominent taste.

4. Wattage

Experiment with different wattages to find the right setting for you. Higher wattages allow for more vapour, but too high can cause burnt tastes.
